Zhang Ting Hu is a Taiwanese actor, born February 20, 1991, His father was an Air Force colonel who died when he was 10-years-old. According to official reports, the fighter aircraft his father was traveling on during a routine mission was likely hit by a bird and disappeared from radar. His body was found days later by a fishing boat. He made his acting debut by landing the lead role in the 2013 television drama, “Boys Can Fly.” Since thing he has gone on to star in several different dramas including “The New World” (2015), “Apple in Your Eye” (2014), and “Brave to Love” (2019).

He had a brief relationship with fellow actress Yang Ko Han, with whom he starred in the drama "The New World". Yang committed suicide on July 18, 2015 after a long battle with depression. Zhang, who was serving his military service at the time, was the one who found Yang's body hanging from the ceiling of their home. His girlfriend's death had a strong impact on him and he blamed himself for not being able to save her. He started to lose weight and began to fall into depression. His health worried his family and friends, even fellow actors, who feared that he might try to commit suicide as well.

In March 2016, he began another brief relationship with actress Tsai Yi Chen, who used to be a good friend of his previous girlfriend, Yang Ko Han. The couple separated in May 2017.
