Son Hyun Woo, better known by his stage name Shownu, is a South Korean idol under Starship Entertainment. He was born in Changdong, Donbonggu, Seoul, South Korea. He is the leader, main dancer, and lead vocalist of the boy group Monsta X.

He is a former JYP trainee, who may have debuted with GOT7 or as a soloist, but left due to personal reasons. He was also a former member of the boy group NUBOYZ with Monsta X member Jooheon, solo artist Wonho and Starship rapper #Gun. He was in D-Unit "Talk to My Face," Sistar "Shake It," and BESTie "Pitapat" music video.

He was a back up dancer for Lee Hyori and was in her music videos "Going Crazy" and "Bad Girl." In 2010, he sang the OST "Now I Know," for the drama Protect the Boss.

In 2020, he sang "Have a Good Night" for the Webtoon "She's my Type" with member Minhyuk and "I'll be There," for the drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed. He was featured in British band Prep's song "Don't Look Back."

While in school, he was a competitive swimmer. He is currently pursing a master's degree in Business Management. In October 2020, he was named the first Korean muse for Moschino perfume.

Shownu enlisted for his mandatory military service on July 22, 2021. He is serving as a public service worker due to a shoulder and eye injury. He was discharged on 21 April, 2023.
